A modern KS3 maths escape room built around a lost livestream, encrypted studio controls and a final release deadline.
Students work through eight connected files covering key KS3 maths topics. Each completed challenge produces a secure digit, which is used with the final decoder to uncover the hidden escape word.
The design uses a grown-up music and digital-media theme, making it suitable for teenagers who have outgrown cartoon-style classroom resources.
Topics covered:
- Negative numbers, indices and roots
- Fractions, decimals and percentages
- Ratio, rates and scale
- Expressions, equations and sequences
- Coordinates, midpoint and gradient
- Pythagoras, circles and volume
- Grouped data and probability
- Transformations and algebraic reasoning
The 28-page PDF includes:
- Eight substantial maths challenges
- Two clearly organised learning sessions
- Applied temperature-model activity
- Histogram and grouped-data task
- Mission log and evidence labels
- Optional practical signal-disc build
- Final decoder
- Certificate
- Three-stage hints for every challenge
- Fully worked answer key
- Revision and confidence tracker
Suitable for KS3 lessons, tutoring, home learning, intervention, enrichment and February half-term revision.
