Note: Prior to the practice notes on the formation of present progressive are included.

Part 1: Answer each question in a complete sentence using the present participle of the infinitive in parenthesis. (8 total)

Note: All questions use “haciendo” with different subjects.

Example:

1. ¿Qué estás haciendo tú? (hablar)

Template: Subject + Conjugation of Estar + Present participle of hablar + Add 2-3 words

Part 2: Present participles ending in -yendo

Answer each question in a complete sentence using the present participle of the infinitive in parenthesis. (4 questions)

*Same format as part 1

Part 3: Present participles with stem change

Complete each sentence with the correct present participle from the word bank. (7 total)

Example:

Word bank: durmiendo / pidiendo

Yo ______ / _______ uuna pizza en el café.

Answer key is included on pages 4-6. Note: For parts 1 and 2, student answers will vary for the last box (add 2-3 words) and are not included.
