LESSON 24-26 (TRIPLE)= This Triple lesson focuses on embedding the previous lessons content on representation and looks heavily at the changing roles of gender within the Bond Franchise, namely in 'The Man with the Golden Gun' and 'Spectre'. The students will learn:

-Recap and further embedding of Laura Mulvey's 'Male Gaze' theory and Scopophilia
-A viewing of select clips from each of the 6 actors to play Bond (with a large focus on Roger Moore and Daniel Craig) with a task assigned.
-Considerations of race
-Msculinity
-Femininity and the Feminist movement

The lesson culminates in a 90 minute task that embeds Media Lang and Representation terms against the posters for 'The Man with the Golden Gun' and 'Spectre', which double up as revision resources. A differentiated resource for higher order analysis is also included and doubles up as an End of Term Assessment.

THIS RESOURCE INCLUDES A H/W TASK and an end of H Term Assessment.

NOTE: I am following EDUQAS Teaching Model 1 in my teaching/ SOW. Moreover, each lesson has a task whereby students RAG (Red, Amber, Green) what they have learnt in the lesson against an Examiner checklist (Differentiation, peer assessment).

(Each lesson is laid out as I teach my own class but I have added notes at the bottom of some of the slides e.g. on the Media Teaser, to aide teachers. All lessons are developed with differentiation, assessment/challenge as well as engagement entrenched heavily within all my resources. Moreover, constant reference is made throughout to the selected Examiner Media.

If you liked this resource and found it useful, it would be greatly appreciated if you could feedback or rate my resource as I am constantly trying to adapt and refine my resources to improve the learning of my students. Many thanks.

The lessons look at: BOND BOOSTER RESOURCE: This resource was used by me to assess students knowledge of the Bond franchise as a whole with regards to promotion and marketing. The resource is a double sided resource focusing on 4 posters from various decades in the 50+ year franchise. Side one consists of a Media Language analysis with differentiated terms to consider for a LV9 response. The reverse side looks at representation and once again has LV9 terms provided. The two questions are as follows: MEDIA LANGUAGE ANALYSIS: How is Media language used in these two Bond posters to communicate meaning to an audience? Remember Media Language looks at codes, conventions, intertextuality, narrative theories, homage etc. Annotate around the posters in full sentences. REPRESENTATIONAL ANALYSIS: How have these posters been constructed by the producer to portray representations of masculinity, femininity and conventional features of the Bond Franchise? Consider progressive, regressive, countertype, archetype, Laura Mulvey’s Male Gaze etc. This resource is great as a timed assessment or it can be set as a cover task in your absence.
