This is a video guide to accompany the viral Youtube video: What Happened Before History? by Kurzgesagt. The video is an attractive presentation that explains human origins and an overview of evolution. It is very interesting and engaging for students who are just beginning to learn about human evolution and anthropology. This assignment should take about 50 minutes and can be done in class, as a sub plan or as a flipped classroom homework assignment. This bundle includes different Reading Comprehension Worksheets based on different novels and plays. These handouts are suitable for higher intermediate advanced ESL learners. The texts explore summarize different novels and plays in story-form. After carefully reading each story, students are required to complete some comprehension exercises including: questions, True or False, gap filling exercises, crosswords, word search exercises, matching exercises and engage in in-depth classroom discussions on topics relevant to each text. The vocabulary used in the texts is rather advanced and can also be used for IGSCE, TOEFL or IELTS vocabulary building purposes.

Body Connect 4 game

Connect 4 game using the parts of the body. Students play in pairs. Students must correctly identify the coordinates of the square (mouth and leg). If wrong, the partner gets the square. Partners alternate turns. The goal is to get 4 squares in a row (vertical, horizontal, diagonal). The winner is the first one to Connect Four two times on the same board. Game has pictures only so may be used for any language.

In order to guess a square, the student must correctly give the time [hours are in the left column and minutes are across the top]. Winner is the first student to find and sink all 5 of his opponent’s ships.
