Ich wohne in Deutschland - chapter 3 kapitel 1 (echo express) - Harry Potter themed

Ich wohne in Deutschland - chapter 3 kapitel 1 (echo express) - Harry Potter themed

This is a whole lesson Power Point by the end of which pupils should be able to answer two questions: Woher kommst du?/ Wo wohnst du?- so it is about saying where you come from and in which country you live. A lot o fun activities, some of them differentiated for different levels of ability, including a snakes and ladders game on countries adapted from one I found on TES.

GERMAN CITIES FIVE DIFFERENTIATED WORD SEARCHES

GERMAN CITIES FIVE DIFFERENTIATED WORD SEARCHES

PERFECT FOR DEVELOPING GERMAN LANGUAGE SKILLS AND DISCOVERING MAJOR CITIES IN GERMANY - WITH ANSWER KEY AND GRID TEMPLATE FOR STUDENTS TO CREATE THEIR OWN WORD SEARCHES FOR EACH OTHER! WORTRÄTSEL are a fabulous way of encouraging students to engage with the written word in GERMAN, refreshing and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. This set features five differentiated word searches, with each consecutive grid increasing in challenge. Students can tell in which direction the words are written by looking at the arrow key on each grid. There is an answer key for each word search, so that students can check their own or each others’ answers - or use for a little extra help if they need it! There's a reference sheet of all cities included in the searches, which you can share between small groups of students, or give one to each student to stick into their learning workbooks as an all-year-round reference. Use as starters, refreshers, plenaries, pick-me-ups or fun-time fillers at any time during the school year, as well as when you’re discussing the geography of GERMANY. For a real focus on the cities of GERMANY, and to facilitate learner independence, photocopy all the grids as a workbook, and let students simply work their way through. The workbook format is great for home learning activities too. The differentiated word search templates are a great way of getting students to apply their knowledge of GERMAN a little more practically and creatively - they create word searches either individually or in teams to share across the classroom - completing these and the pre-prepared grids against a timer works well too! Encourage students to explore GERMANY a little further, and include what they consider to be major cities that are not already featured. The resource consists of 4 non-editable files. Please read the TERMS OF USE carefully - the resource is copyright, and for single-teacher/purchaser use only. VIELEN DANK UND SCHÖNE REISE!

GERMAN - EUROPE POSTER & QUIZ PACK - AUF DEUTSCH!

GERMAN - EUROPE POSTER & QUIZ PACK - AUF DEUTSCH!

CREATE AN INSTANT AND COMPREHENSIVE INTRODUCTION TO EUROPE IN YOUR CLASSROOM, DEVELOP GEOGRAPHICAL KNOWLEDGE OF EUROPE AND ENHANCE SKILLS IN GERMAN AT THE SAME TIME! 72 POSTERS WITH EUROPEAN COUNTRIES, CAPITAL CITIES & FLAGS 4 QUIZZES, 4 CHALLENGES - 120 MULTIPLE-CHOICE QUIZ CARDS, COUNTRIES & CAPITAL CITIES WITH RECALL & WRITE QUIZZES The posters give your learning environment a great multicultural look and feel, at the same time promoting GERMAN as a living language, featuring in the everyday life of your - and your students’ - classroom. There may be a number of countries and capital cities that students do not know, or are not aware of, so the posters can help students develop their general knowledge and understanding of EUROPEAN GEOGRAPHY. I’ve included a range of islands, such as the FAROE ISLANDS, to extend students’ knowledge of EUROPE a little further, and I’ve also shown some countries, for example ARMENIA, that are often classed as belonging either to EUROPE or to ASIA. I’ve also included two posters for some countries, such as GERMANY, officially known as BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND - you can choose either the more frequently-used ‘DEUTSCHLAND’ or the ’BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND’ to display. With the quizzes, students can further develop their knowledge of the geography of Europe in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, using GERMAN as the means of communication. The quizzes are great for listening, speaking, pronunciation and reading out loud, working well as both a small and whole-group team activity. There are four speaking/writing challenges: CHALLENGE 1 prompts for a specific capital city; CHALLENGE 2 prompts for a specific country; CHALLENGE 3 prompts for a capital city in writing; CHALLENGE 4 prompts for a country in writing. The quiz card templates allow students to put their memory to the test in a different way, and to apply their knowledge very practically, as well as engaging with some basic writing in GERMAN: they can create their own set of multiple-choice questions for each other! There is also an alphabetical by country reference list of all countries and capitals, which students find useful to read through before playing. Laminate the cards and reference sheets if you can - you’ll be able to use them for years to come! The posters and quizzes are also available as separate resources, each priced at £4.00. The resource itself comprises 3 non-editable files in a zipped format; please read the TERMS OF USE carefully - the resource is copyright, and for single-classroom use only. VIELEN DANK UND VIEL SPAß!
