These multiplication station task cards are a fun and active way to generate numbers for one, two, and three digit multiplication practise. Simply print them out and stick them around your outdoor area or hall (a few require some basic resources e.g. balls etc.) then let the children run about, completing the challenges and working out the written multiplications using their chosen method from the numbers generated. Fractions of an Amount 2 (Treasure Hunt)

Fractions of an Amount 2 (Treasure Hunt)

Unlike many Treasure Hunt, this one has the bonus that the answers to the questions give an encrypted clue (for students to decipher) which reveals where the treasure is hidden. This particular activity requires students to work out factions of an amount when the numerator is not '1'. [CLICK HERE] for a list of similar style Treasure Hunts on other topics. A Treasure Hunt is a great activity which children love. They are ideal for revision, starters or plenaries. They are a really great way to get students to answer questions quickly and enjoy doing so! These question cards have been prepared in two sizes. This allows them to be easily used for a whole class activity, group work or by individuals. The loop cards are particularly helpful during interventions.

Loop Card Races (Fractions of an Amount 2)

Loop Card Races (Fractions of an Amount 2)

This download contains four sets of 16 cards. Students choose a set of cards and sort them into order! The questions are the same for each set, but the sort order has been changed. This way, students can repeat the activity with different versions of the cards and check that they have learnt from earlier mistakes. [CLICK HERE] for a list of Loop Cards on other topics. The cards can either be used by individuals, pairs or small groups. Solutions and instructions are included, but my favourite use is for two students to have different versions of the cards and race each other. They then check their answers, shuffle, swap packs and race again (quickest overall time wins!) Cut out card size is approx. 65 x 90 mm.
