We sell unique, child friendly teaching resources to give children back their love of learning. Education has become very test driven, with many resources in a 'test format' . This can become very uninspiring for learners and be a cause for lack of motivation and enthusiasm. At Applefortheteacher, we create teaching resources to give children the skills they need academically, socially and emotionally, whilst encouraging that important 'love of learning'. Inspiring learners to thrive!

This is a brilliant, engaging game for young learners. Remember the game of writing a word and folding your paper over then passing to a partner to write the next part? Or is that just me? This is a similar game to that (instructions are included). This game has been tried and tested with many children, children in Year 1, Year 2 and children higher up in KS2 who find sentence building difficult. After playing this game a few times, the pieces begin to fit together. Why make it difficult? Putting the love in learning, we put the children at the centre of everything we create…
These are great sheets which I have used with a range of learners, including learners with Special Educational Needs who were not able to write. They signed/verbalised their caption for an adult to write down word for word. A great assessment tool for all learners to show their level of understanding. Can also be used for children to write their own captions for EYFS, KS1 and KS2. A fabulous resource to inspire creative writing and thoughts.

We have put together a selection of 6 gorgeous activity sheets to give children in EYFS and children who require a more sensory approach with Special Educational Needs, a more accessible, hands on approach to learning. Most of these activities are edible, so as long as there are no allergies it would be fine if they were to put any in their mouths. Try them out, they are a great way to allow young learners to be creative and to bring out their natural inquisitive natures. Giving them opportunities to really explore different textures using all of their senses.
This is a gorgeous collection of resources to support teaching of traditional stories with a twist. This story is inspired by ‘Little Red Riding Hood’, but it has been changed to show children that certain parts of stories can be changed, to create their own versions. Each poster has clear photographs of habitats with a selection of animals who might live in those environments. There is also a habitat/animal matching activity in the form of a cut and stick resource.
This is a gorgeous, child friendly activity, aimed at helping children to grasp the concept that different animals and wildlife need different environments to live in. Read the information abut each habitat which is currently for sale at the Wildlife Estate Agency and look at the photographs to support. Children can put themselves in the mind of the different creatures and decide which property each one would want to buy. EYFS, SEN & KS1 Read Trace Write sheets for Phonics Phase 2 CVC words.
This is a lovely activity for children in their first stages of development in reading and writing. The activity includes clear, bright illustrations and photographs to support children in their recognition and sounding out of the words. The Phase 2 words shown on the cards should be sounded out and read first, then they can be traced by the learners. The letters and sounds which make up each word can be then written in the grids provided.
