A fantastic and engaging assembly! It gets children involved and is lots of fun (tried and tested). This assembly will support children in considering the choices they make and to get them to think about making good choices. This assembly pack includes a script and PowerPoint.

This is a fantastic pack to set up an effective pupil target in English. Simply print the targets onto stickers (or cut and stick) and put the appropriate target into children's book. In addition to this you can laminate these targets and attach the relevant ones to children's English book using a treasure tag. This allows an easy reference for the child and you to see what target they are working towards. It is also a great way to record progress. Simply add a sticker to the laminated target when it has been met, and once it has been met 3 times, give your child their next target to work towards. I have been using this target system for 3 years and it has been highly effective in both the Year 1 and Year 2 class I have worked in. It could easily be adapted to work across any year group however.

An introduction to Cave Baby by Julia Donaldson. This a great Notebook presentation, introducing children to the Cave Baby story. It focuses on the use of adjectives and retelling the story. There are also some great examples of cave painting art work and a step-by-step guide on how children can create their own cave painting.

A fantastic lesson pack to support children to investigate materials, within a fun pirate theme. This lesson pack will support children in identifying what material different objects are made out of as well as begin to think about what they look and feel like. Included in this pack: Material's PowerPoint introduction with a fun pirate twist Material match activity - a selection of pictures for children to match with the material they are made from or to write the material they are made from next to the material for your more able children. (These work great as a cut and stick activity or why not reduce the mess in your class and print them onto stickers instead!) A great tried and tested resource that can be spread across 2 - 3 lessons that really engage all learners. The first PowerPoint will explore the different defensive features of a castle, with an accompanying worksheet. The Notebook presentation goes on to introduce the trebuchet and catapult. Children can then make their own simple catapult using simple materials. The final Notebook presentation introduces the different weapons knights would use in battle with an accompanying worksheet.

This is a really fun and engaging activity. Children can be set the challenge to find as many words relating to Volcanos as they can with these wonderful differentiated word searches. Want to save paper, why not print some for a group activity and laminate them so that you can use them time and time again. You could even give children a blank grid and challenge them to make their word search.

A great versatile resource to introduce children to clocks and time. It could be used as a worksheet, where children can cut out the numbers and glue them in the correct place on the clock face. For a more durable resource, why not laminate the clock face and numbers and use Velcro so that children can build a clock face and make corrections easily. You could even give children the clock face with muddled numbers and ask them to reorder them.

This is a fantastic topic! This MTP is designed to cover a 3 week science unit within this topic, but of course it could easily be extended. This is a great resource to support children in reading new words by sounding out letters and blending them together. Children can then decide which subheading the statements belong to in order to check their understanding of what they have read. This activity is differentiated into phonics phases 2, 3, 4 and 5.
