Macbeth- full scheme of work with PowerPoints (everything you need!)

(0)
This scheme of work covers the entire play with ready-to-use PowerPoints. It is everything you need for at a full half term or longer teaching Macbeth! It focuses on developing annotation and essay writing skills, with writing frames and ‘stretch and challenge’ foci embedded. The lessons are well-structured to build up these key skills and have in-depth language and structure analysis alongside key extracts from the text, so that you can demonstrate annotation easily. Students focus on specific essay questions throughout that will prepare them for everything a GCSE exam might cover.

Macbeth's Quotation Catchphrase

Great for helping students learn and remember 28 quotations in a fun and interactive way using the Catchphrase game format. Each slide has a clue for a quotation for students to guess. Bonus points can be given for identifying who said the quotation and when they said it. Can be played individually or in teams. Quotations are in chronological order, so it can be used as starter or plenary activities whilst reading the play. A great revision tool with extension activities based around the quotations. Also ideal for cover lessons.

An Inspector Calls and Jekyll & Hyde House of Games-style Revision

An excellent revision game after teaching An Inspector Calls and Jekyll & Hyde based upon the format of BBC quiz show House of Games. Focused on plot, character and themes, pitch students against each other to test their recall. There’s a mix of questions for different abilities, but you can easily add slides to incorporate more challenging or easier ones depending on your students’ needs.
