Christian Mission GCSE Religious Studies
Two lessons on a power point describing the concept of mission, what is Christian mission and giving examples of different types of service to others - for example the Salvation Army, Francis Xavier and Mother Teresa. Could be adapted for lower school.
Religious Studies GCSE revision power point - extra revision class
This power point has 16 revision sessions that were completed by students close to exam time. The sessions were topics chosen by students who wanted extra support for certain topics nearer to the exam. We follow the OCR syllabus studying Christianity, Islam and issues from a Christian perspective. There are no extra resources with the power point but we have textbooks and you can adapt the power point to suit. Some sessions were 20ish mins before school and some were after school for over an hour.
What is wisdom ? Religious Education unit on where people get wisdom from
Unit includes power point which is adaptable. Pupils will explore what wisdom is and where it comes from. Pack includes supportive sheets for lessons. Any video links you may want to watch first as they may need editing or you may feel they are not suitable for your setting - please preview. Pupils will have an opportunity to look at religions they may not have studied before and the religion of Buddhism.
What is it like to be a believer in the UK ? Focus on Islam year 8 - 9
Adaptable power point. Please review any video links as you may wish to edit them for language or content in your setting. Presentation includes discussion points and materials for tasks as well as objectives and outlines for extended writing task. Presentation covers Islamophobia, conversion, where Islam started, some of the 5 pillars of Islam. You will need research books or internet access to complete some tasks suggested.
Year outline and knowledge organisers for OCR Religious Studies - key terms and ideas
Most of the key terms students need for the OCR course plus year 10 and 11 year outline. This will make sure students have the key knowledge they need for the Islam, Christianity and Christians Perspectiveson ethics papers. The knowledge organisers can also be used as revision cards for the final few months. There are also key religious quotes from Islam and Christianity for all papers as recommended by the exam board.
