Early Years Continuous Provision - Colour Monster Suitable for Early Years or Year 1 This scheme of work has been planned with emotional literacy in mind. It could be used at any point in the year, particularly if you are helping children to understand and deal with their emotions. However, it would be a great transition resource for the first half term of reception. Part 1 - Each day includes one group or whole class activity that focuses on children dealing with and understanding their emotions. Christingle Service (PowerPoint + Script) Suitable for Primary School This Christingle Service is great if you want the children to have speaking parts, if not, check out this adult-led service here. This high-quality resource includes an 11-slide PowerPoint that accompanies the script. The Script and PowerPoint can be used for a lovely Christingle Service. The Script is 946 words long and will create a service of approximately 30-40 minutes long. There are a number of speaking parts for 6 narrators and other children to join in. Subitising PowerPoint 1 to 3 - Maths This 40 slide PowerPoint flashes different amounts of dots, shapes and icons (up to 3) onto the screen for children to count and visualise. The PowerPoint can be easily adapted. Note: To ensure that the PowerPoint works as designed, when you download the PowerPoint make sure you click ‘Extract all’ then ‘Browse’ to save the PowerPoint to your computer. PowerPoint might give you a message saying that some external content has been blocked due to security reasons. Click ‘allow’ or ‘enable’ so that the links work fully.
