Learners cut out the Olympic sports symbols to correctly place them in the correct position on the Venn diagrams. Learners can be given suitable criteria to sort the sports or create their own.
e.g. Sports that use water, sports that use a ball, team sports, contact sports etc.

Lesson based on the declaration of war on Germany in 1939. Tried and tested classroom resource.
Pupils should make notes on the key facts given in the video clip. They will then produce their own news reader's script to break the news to the British public using the model text as an example.
