The lesson starts with guided reading and note taking modelling to pupils using reference books or internet links. Pupils have time to research and share information via a few options to suit your own class. Included are notes on how to have your own PE Olympics. A game for transition for a child who may struggle with change e.g. suitable for pupils with learning difficulties, social and emotional difficulties or Autistic characteristics. I have used this game from Y1 up to Y6 but it works best with Y2 up as the pupils can read the cards for themselves. You can "man up" the cards for Y6 with your school logo with the pictures are or other designs made by the pupils themselves.
