Year 2 Maths Activity booklet that can be used as evidence alongside the 2018-2019 Maths Teacher Assessment Framework. This particular booklet is for the ‘Working Above’ (I.e. Greater Depth) statements. There are 23 pages, each with a range of activities for all 6 statements under the Greater Depth section of the framework. This activity booklet can be used as morning starters, during maths skills sessions or soft starts. This activity booklet also features a simple assessment tool on the back cover. Simply tick off the standard once the pupil has shown they can independently answer the relevant questions. We used a similar activity booklet to this last year (some examples differed due to the old framework) and our Year 2 was externally moderated. The moderators were very pleased and requested copies of the booklets too. The Writing Assessment Grid contains the statements for Working Towards, Working At and Greater Depth from the end of KS1 Teacher Assessment Framework. The grid makes assessing against the statements a much more user-friendly task. Simply insert the date in which the child has evidenced that particular statement in their piece of work. The strips can be used in independent pieces of work such as a Hot Task or Big Write. Simply tick off the statement they have achieved, this can then be logged into the main grid by dating the piece of work the evidence has been gained from. Collecting this evidence from the start of the year will also make the process of Moderation a much smoother and quicker process.

These grids are the end of KS1 teacher assessment framework statements in a classroom-friendly format that can help with day-to-day assessment of the children as well as support in the collection of evidence for Moderation.

Help promote a culture of kindness in your classroom using these pupil praise cards! They can be handed out for simple acts of kindness and printed onto card and trimmed or alternatively onto photo paper for a nicer finish!

A Hollywood Walk of Fame star inspired poster to encourage children to become more resilient in the classroom. Simply laminate then you can write in the child/children’s name(s) into the star either daily or weekly whenever they have shown resilient behaviours. They can also write their own name in instead. This will also encourage others to adopt similar strategies when encountering difficulties in the classroom.

Great resource to get to know your new class at the start of the year! Simply place the letters in the locations of each clue, when put together they can spell anything you like! For my class I had it spell “Year 2 rules” but you can edit this for yourself by adding more clues/taking away clues to make it fit the number of letters in whichever word you want it to spell.
