The challenge

The school is part of Carlton Academy Trust, a Bradford-based trust established in 2019, emerging from the remarkable success of its founding school, Carlton Bolling. In 2014, Carlton Bolling was placed in special measures, with a reputation that earned it the label of “the most broken school in the country.” However, a rapid and transformative journey led to the school being rated outstanding by Ofsted in 2017, less than two years after being in special measures.

Carlton Mills started using Provision Map after a poor Ofsted inspection and have seen tremendous improvements in their SEND support, improving outcomes and parent engagement throughout the school.  

The whole trust now use Provision Map across all mainstream schools.
