32. French: The Subjunctive (present tense)

This is a Powerpoint presentation of 10 slides and is no. 32 in a series of 60-minute lessons used by me to tutor a GCSE student via Zoom. The focus of each lesson is grammatical, rather than topic specific, and as such they can be slotted into topic work as required. In addition, each lesson attempts to extend the use of French to match the requirements of GCSE Higher Tier.

This presentation explains and practises the use of the present subjunctive after certain conjunctions and verbs. There is are clear grammatical explanations, oral work with a noughts and crosses and Kim’s game, and translation sentences to stretch students at Higher tier. The presentation would also be appropriate for an A-level class.
