Students can develop their knowledge of the geography and scope of La Francophonie in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher. At the same time, students are developing their French language skills, with a focus on reading, writing and spelling.

The quizzes work well as a whole-group, small-group / center or paired learning activity, and are also great as bell ringers for French class. Revisit regularly to maximise the learning potential. It’s useful to screen a world map before students engage with the activity, so that they can visualise the location of the continents, countries and capital cities, which provides an important context for their learning.

The set contains countries / territories where French is an official language. There are 18 worksheets in total. There is an alphabetical reference list featuring countries, capital cities, continent and national flag. Together, the differentiated challenges ensure students will really embed and consolidate their knowledge of La Francophonie.
