A KS 3 project which looks at the work of Jim Dine, explores mark making and texture and then uses the gained knowledge and techniques to produce a contact print of a pair of scissors in the style if Jim Dine.
Some of the learning objectives include where different types of marks should be added to an image.
and adding oil pastel & charcoal marks to a tool drawing to recreate Jim Dine’s work. Create an oil pastel mono-print of scissors in Jim Dine’s style. Then build up the softer marks by using charcoal.
Included are a Power Point Presentation, 2 editable lesson plans and a handout.
