Mixed tenses questions practice: Present and preterit

Answer each set of question in a complete sentence in the appropriate verb tense (present or preterit). Vary your answers (Do not use the same words over and over).

*There are 9 sets total. Sets 1-7 will have 4 questions, sets 8 and 9 have 3 questions each. (34 questions total)

*In sets 1-7 there is one question with the present tense, one question with ir + a + infinitive, one question with tener + que + infinitive, and one question in the preterit. The subjects for all questions will be the same.

*In set 8, there are 3 questions with Ser in the present tense

• In set 9, there are 2 questions with Ir in the present tense and 1 question in the preterit tense.

Verbs included in the sets of questions: hablar, comer, salir, hacer, ver, despertarse, acostarse, ser and ir.

Sample:

Set 1 (hablar: to speak)

1. ¿Con quién vas a hablar tú? (Answer with ir + a + infinitive)

1. ¿Con quién tienes que hablar tú? (Answer with tener + que + infinitive)

1. ¿Con quién hablaste tú ayer?
