Preterit Imperfect guided sentence completion practice (Spanish)

GREAT for classwork, homework, review, assessment , study guide, test / exam prep, or sub plans

Guidelines:

1. For each set, based on the clue word, choose and write the correct verb conjugation using the word bank.

2. Then, add 4-5 words to create an original sentence. Avoid repetition (using the same words over and over).

*No collaboration or on-line translators.

*There are 10 sets total. In each set, students will complete one sentence in the preterit and one sentence in the imperfect.

Sample:

Set 1: Word bank: jugabas / hablé

jugar: to play / hablar: to speak

Clue word + Subject + Conjugated verb + Add 4-5 words

Ayer + yo + ___________ + ___________

Cada día + tú+ ___________ + ___________

Answer key is included on pages 4-6 for the conjugations only. For the original sentences, student answers will vary.
