A word processing task to introduce students to basic formatting techniques and to encourage accuracy (something that is required in all national assessments). Students have to write out a block of text before formatting it using a set of instructions. More able students will be able to follow the instructions to create an automatic file name and to edit the content in the header/footer.
This can be edited for KS2; however, it is primarily suited to Year 8 and Year 9. Instructions have been included for each step so that less able students can be prompted on how to complete the task.
