Arabic Beginning Sound Clip Cards

Arabic Beginning Sound Clip Cards

These Arabic Beginning Sound Clip Cards are a fantastic way for learners to practice their Arabic sounds. This is a great way to reinforce vocabulary development while practicing very important fine motor skills. Students say the name of each picture, and listen for the beginning sound and clip the pictures whose sound corresponds to the alphabet letter in the middle of the card. These cards are great for literacy centers or individual practice. These cards are easy to prep. Just laminate and trim them and they are ready to go! You can even make these cards self-correcting by placing a small sticker on the back of the card for the correct answer.

Arabic Vocabulary Sets - Fruit and Vegetables

Arabic Vocabulary Sets - Fruit and Vegetables

This resource is a PowerPoint presentation for parents teaching Arabic to their children. You will find this PowerPoint and others to follow cover a wide range of terms based around a specific grouping in this case it will be fruit and vegetables. The format of the PowerPoint is per slide 4 to 5 static pictures followed by each click of the mouse/ enter on the keyboard the corresponding term for each picture on the slide. The main learning objective is to "Familiarise your child with the names of everyday items in Arabic". I have found that regular review over a week allows a child to memorise and recall ALL the terms contained in a PowerPoint presentation. In terms of differentiation opportunities for stretch and challenge could involve the following: (i) Spelling tests based on each PowerPoint (ii) Cut and match exercises (iii) The core vocabulary around simple sentence construction
