AQA GCSE Music Exam Buster: Hadyn's Clock 8-Mark Question Buster

AQA GCSE Music Exam Buster: Hadyn's Clock 8-Mark Question Buster

For the first time, AQA GCSE Music students are faced with the ‘extended response’ which can be out of the comfort zone for both them and teachers alike. The 8-mark question relies upon student memory and preparedness to address the wider issues of the musical elements in the second movement of Haydn’s Clock Symphony This video resources combines all of the intel from the specimen material and condenses it into an accessible and compartmentalised format, to make the teaching, learning, understanding, and crucially revision that much easier! Includes ‘Simple Mark Getters’ - easy to memorise points for panicking students!

Canon in C WAGOLL, used for GCSE Music

Canon in C WAGOLL, used for GCSE Music

This resource was made in MuseScore2 but for some reason TES won’t let me upload it in that format so here is the PDF version. This is a WAGOLL version of a Canon in C. It only uses 4 instruments, and acts as a guide to help students with one of their first composition attempts. I teach canon composition to my GCSE Y9 class as an easy way to encourage them to compose. It is also a useful way to teach them about chord structures and cadences.
