Pumpkin Life Cycle Scavenger Hunt

Pumpkin Life Cycle Scavenger Hunt Purpose : At the end of this Scavenger hunt students will be able to learn about the different stages of ‘Life cycle of Pumpkin’ with many vocabulary words. Print the 20 Scavenger Hunt cards on card stock or brightly -colored paper and cut them apart along the black lines. Make copies of the Scavenger Hunt questions worksheet. Each student needs a copy. Place the Scavenger Hunt cards around your classroom where students will be able to find them. You can put them on chairs, on the computer keyboard, on the back of your classroom door, on the sides of student desks, on the chalkboard or wherever you like. Students have to search the room and find all of the sentence cards to answer the questions. You can differentiate by having students work alone or with a classmate. English German Study Cards

This set of cards consists of 130 card pairs with hundreds of English - German sentence pairs in a 26-page pdf file . It is meant to be used by learners of English or German starting from the age of 11 or 12. Starting from the most basic structures such as giving personal information, it encompasses those for expressing the time, weather, illnesses, requests, permissions, suggestions, question words, German noun cases for all three articles. The cards are grouped according to the functions of the sentences: 1-30 Asking for and giving personal information for the first and second persons, and first person plural. 31-60 Asking for and giving personal information with the third persons singular, and third person plural. 61-95 Requests, Permissions, Suggestions, Commands, Future, Possibility, Obligation, necessity, etc. 96-102 Asking and answering about Numbers and amounts. 103- 120 Weather and Time. 121-130 Cases of nouns in German. All the sentences in each card are related to each other, and this facilitates learning a lot. It is up to the imagination of the teacher and the learner in what way to use the cards. They can be used individually or in pair-work for self-study, or in team games. The cards have to be printed, cut out as pairs, folded in two and glued together . Alternatively, using a thick paper in between could make them more rigid. The language pairs English - French, English - Spanish, and English - Italian are soon to be added.
