NEW AQA GCSE PE (9-1) Year 2- Socio-cultural Influences 3.2.2 -Engagement patterns in social groups

This lesson covers the first part of 3.2.2.1 Unit: Engagement patterns of different social groups in physical activity and sport. I will be uploading each lesson from this unit in forthcoming weeks. A thoroughly planned, comprehensive PowerPoint presentation as part of the Year 2 module in line with the new AQA GCSE PE 9-1 course, first taught September 2016. This can be taught in 1-2 lessons. The pack includes the a Presentations and a worksheet which allows students to collate understanding onto one page and answer exam questions. For the topic there is all content required, inline with the spec. This includes differentiated learning activities through; discussion tasks, differentiated questions, research tasks, links to videos, exam questions are also included to test the student's knowledge and understanding. The exam questions relate to the AO1, AO2 and AO3 assessment objectives.

Used as a starter or plenary whole lesson of revision. One side of the domino is a question and students to search through the other dominoes for the answer which will also have another question attached. Student aims to create a chain of questions and answers. 64 questions/64 answers - 4 topics- Sporting values/ Barriers to participation/ NGBs / Hosting international Events. Completed individually or in pairs, or as class where they have to find the answer to the question, stand next to that person until the whole class is standing in a circle with the start and finish next to each other.
