This is a total of 13 quizzes, with answers that are designed to cover the 23 equations students are required to remember for the AQA specification. I also include exam question style questions, units questions and a few of the given equations as well. Answers are provided at the end. (sometimes in letter form, sometimes in word form) I used these as starters once a week with my year 11 classes last year and I kept a running tally of scores for my classes. It really helped cement their equation revision! At £10, you are getting these starters for less than £1 per resource. This powerpoint begins by showing how light rays travel through a convex lens and how they form an image… As an illustration of the use of a convex lens it includes showing how the camera and the magnifying glass each form an image. It then goes on to show, step by step, how rays of light travel through an astronomical refracting telescope. It also shows how the angular magnification can be found. The second powerpoint shows how light rays travel tthrough a Cassegrain reflecting telescope. Rays are drawn in stages to show all the steps in constructing an accurate ray diagram.

A super lesson that explores landfill. This took roughly 8 hours to plan & create. Students use the information sheet (no need for books) to create a newspaper article. All SEND resources created too. SPaG sheet to cover tricky key words. I would recommend printing the information sheet in colour & in A3 & laminating it, to be used again. The cartoon strip is best in A3 too. Links well to much of the new 1-9 geography specification and was used as part of the KS3 SOW.

Key facts that students need to remember for AQA Combined Science Trilogy Physics Specification. The first slide shows the questions and the answers. I plan to give them to students as homework to learn. Then in the following 5-10 lessons they will get the same questions over and over again to help (or even force) them to try and remember them. The following slides are therefore just the same questions mixed up. I plan to just project them on the screen to save printing. I think this is the same as knowledge organisers. I just couldn’t find any that didn’t seem to have too much on for my students as I don’t want it to put them off. There is a tracker if you want to use it. The cells will change colour depending on if a student has improved, stayed the same ot got worse. I might be making Biology and Chemistry but its a bit complicated. Watch this space.

The resource includes all the formulae and equations needed for Paper 1 and Paper 2, and also includes the UNITS that students need to learn. I wasn’t able to find anything suitable for the new scheme, so I borrowed a layout idea from a previously available resource on here and made my own page from scratch.
