Romeo and Juliet lesson on Tybalt. A fully differentiated lesson that looks at the key scene of Act 3 Scene 1 from Romeo and Juliet where Tybalt looks for revenge on Romeo for attending the Capulet party and what happens to Romeo and his friend Mercutio as a result. As we finish A Christmas Carol, we look at Stave Five and at how Scrooge has changed since the beginning of the text. We analyse key quotes, key language features and the type of ending used by Dickens to have maximum impact on his readers. An engaging, detailed and fully differentiated lesson.

The lesson focuses on Macbeth and how it can or cannot be considered a tragedy, allowing students to reflect on genre and consider approaches to AO3.

As we study An Inspector Calls by JB Priestley we look at how a generation gap seems to form between young and older characters, particularly in Act 3 as The Inspector leaves and allows the characters to discuss amongst themselves what has happened and what they have discovered about themselves. As we study A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, we analyse the beginning of Stave 3 and look at how The Ghost of Christmas Present is introduced to us and how the use of language affects the readers’ interpretations of the character. Moreover, we look at the use of imagery in the description of the Christmas activity taking place throughout the city as the Ghost and Scrooge travel through the streets. Fully differentiated throughout.
