I have been a primary school teacher for many years and have taught all age groups, specialising in English and later on, special needs. I have recently taken early retirement. I know how busy you are & how hard you work. I aim to produce the resources you would have made yourself, if you had had the time. If you have bought any of my resources, I would really appreciate it if you would review them. Many thanks!

Foreign Languages Register - French and more!

Register time consists of 15 or 20 precious minutes that could be used for practising the foreign language you are teaching your class. You can begin very simply by calling out your children's names and getting them to reply 'Oui' or 'Non'. Then move on to greetings, asking how they are, using the verb to be and numbers. At the end of the day, children can learn to say goodbye. When they have mastered this in the first language, why not move on to another? French, Italian, German, Spanish, Mandarin, Latin and Atesi (Ugandan dialect) are included. Why not ask minority children in your class to help you take the register in their language?

French day - loads of ideas for games, PE, parachute activities, maths, geography, art, DT, singing

Loads of activities for the whole school which can be used for a French day or for added cultural understanding. Children learn a language by hearing first, so there are lots of games included where they have to listen to instructions and then act on them. There is a whole sheet of these which can be used outside for PE or in the hall or some around a table in the classroom. There are also parachute games included plus ideas for art, maths, geography and DT on a French theme. Everything fully editable. Please take the time to review this resource and to offer any suggestions. More resources can be found in my shop: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resources/shop/Jazel

Display PPT with colours. Sing through first line and children echo back. Words are displayed. Repeat with no words. Continue with another verse in the same way. Children can then go on to writing their own verses for the class to sing. Fully editable. Please take the time to review this resource and to offer any suggestions.
