This is a 1 page resource that includes an Art rubric that can be used as a self assessment by students completing an art course. It is easily adaptable to suit whatever art criteria you need. I used it with my students with Autism who were completing Art NOCN (National Open College Network) courses. It is a good way for students to visually see how they are progressing throughout their Art course and what criteria is still left to achieve.

This is a resource I use with SEN students who require Travel Training sessions. It is a road safety self assessment that I get my students to complete when using road safety in the local community. It covers road safety when walking and using crossings.

This is a resource I use with students that require Travel Training sessions. This is a fun activity to do with students as a break from regular Travel Training sessions. Students can complete a photography scavenger hunt, where they have to practice their road safety skills whilst walking around their local area, taking photographs of a variety of things, such as a round-a-bout or zebra crossing. This is a journey planner organisational chart which can be used for SEN students who require Travel Training sessions. Entry Level 1 to Level 2 students. It includes what the students need to consider in regards to planning travel on buses, taxis and the Metro (or Tubes/Trams). I use this in my Travel Training sessions, so students can independently plan a journey on public transport, learning valuable transferable skills.

This resource can be used for students studying English Literature. It is a 5 page worksheet, where students are required to read the excerpts of the HG Wells novel, The War of the Worlds and answer questions about the text. It includes questions, such as: How different was man’s idea of Martians compared to how they actually were? How does H.G. Wells describe the breakdown of social order? How would you feel being amongst the crowd?

This is a resource I use for students that require Travel Training sessions. In order to develop transferable skills, students are required to plan journeys on public transport. This resource is a scenario where students can plan a trip to their local Costa Coffee shop. You just need to add the appropriate info (street names etc.) for your local area! It gives advice to students of things they need to consider when planning their journey. It also encourages budgeting skills.

I use this resource with students that require Travel Training sessions. This is a short road safety quiz, with statistical information provided by the World Health Organisation about road traffic injuries in youths. It also provides information on how to cross the road safely.

Includes opportunities for students to demonstrate how to find information on the Internet, how to navigate websites/weblinks and how to verify information/image. Perfect for Entry Level 3 and Level 1 students, including SEN students. There is also an 11 slide PowerPoint presentation to go with it, that is a full teaching PowerPoint, with recap of previous lesson, learning outcomes, gauging prior knowledge, teaching slides, keywords, 2 extension tasks and a recap of learning.

This resource can be used for students that require Rarpa (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement); it is linked to the PfA (Preparing for Adulthood) goals/target - Employment Skills. Where students get to choose which employment goal they would like and then state how they can work towards this, either in lessons or in tutorial.

Students are asked to name 5 different operating systems and provide evidence of User Interfaces. Perfect for SEN Entry Level 1 and above.

It includes sections where students can demonstrate how to install an app. Perfect for both Entry Level 3 and Level 1 students, including SEN students.

This resource can be used for students that require Rarpa (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement); it is linked to the PfA (Preparing for Adulthood) goal/target: Employment Skills If students have set up their own personal employment skills goal, tutors or LSA’s can provide a witness statement towards this goal. There is also an accompanying evidence sheet, where students can then provide photographic evidence for the goal.

A game genre mind map to use in Gaming or Media Studies. Students have to name as many game genres as they can, their favourite game genre and to name a game from that genre. I use this resource as a lesson starter when teaching video game genre.

This is a display poster which can be shown/displayed to students that require Travel Training sessions. The poster explains the necessity of good road safety skills when crossing the road at a chicane/give way and that cars may not be stopping to let you cross.
