Gender pronouns lanyard for LBGTQI+ students
These lanyards are suitable for supporting your LBGTQI+ elementary, middle school or primary students and for those students in a secondary or high school setting. THINGS TO CONSIDER
Your gender diverse student may not want to wear it conspicuously around their neck, so explore a range of ways they could wear it without it being seen when it is not needed. They may want to tuck it away or keep it in their pocket or pencil case.
They will need to practice a range of situations where they made need to use it and how to use it.
You may need to make it clear that this reduces the need for them to have to discuss and explain their choices.
If appropriate you should include this lanyard adjustment on any Individual Education Plan to ensure you are documenting how you are supporting your gender diverse students.
