GCSE History Skills Test: inquiry into sources- Diet Coke vs Coke Zero Test

I use this lesson to introduce GCSE skills that the students will need to know getting ready for their exam. This is a mock exam that follows the same structure as the GCSE exam questions, but it uses sources based on Diet Coke vs Coke Zero. Included in this pack is all of the lesson resources and structure mats that can be used throughout the whole course. There is also an introduction to exam questions that can be printed and placed at the beginning of students books The structure of the lesson: Students read through the evidence and answer 1. source inference based on a Diet Coke advert 2. purpose question based on a Coke Zero advert 3. explain question based on gender advertising 4. reliability question based on 2 sources 5. judgement question It is a fun lesson that allows students to access all exam skills required for this unit, but through fun evidence and sources.
