Each sheet has the name of each hazard symbol, the symbol itself, a description of the Hazard, an example of which chemical has that hazard and an image to help them remember. This KS3 Physics resource can be used as a homework, plenary or even cover lesson and has questions related to Energy Stores, Fuels, Renewable and Non-Renewable, Global Warming and Energy Transfer . It has over 40 questions linked to Bloom’s taxonomy and Multiple Intelligences. Teacher’s can set homeworks over the range of the topic or for in-class activities linked to ability and/or learning style, or let students choose themselves! Update: Lowered the price if you have to teach this topic at this time This resource of the different electrical models has moving parts to show the students how the model works if they were to see it in real life. It talks about the sweets/matches model, water models (radiator/waterfall), delivery model (coal to Power station) and the ball bearing (chains/rope/dominoes) model and now the Traffic in a City Model. Each model has an animation and asks the students what each part represents and how they can adapt the model to show series/parallel or higher voltage. I have added a worksheet on each model so that students can evaluate each model on how good it is. A master worksheet for adding your own model and a sheet for students to come up with their own model to help their understanding. This is a GCSE Physics resource for KS3 and KS4. It follows the new AQA Science course. It encourages students to think about the power equation. The practical invites them to calculate if they are more powerful than a kettle by planning a practical and testing it out. Let the students find out if they are more powerful than a kettle, by looking at the Power rating on a kettle and then timing themselves (one at a time) running up a set of stairs. You will find that if you have a high mass (like me) you are more powerful then the students who can run up fast, but not in half the time. They will find out they are not quite as powerful as a kettle and they enjoyed the chance of being able to “run” when they are not normally allowed to do this.
