Cheat sheets are an effective means of preparing students for their Edexcel 9-1 history exams. These easy to use sheets can provide students with a framework for planning answers to potential exam questions as part of their revision.
Teachers can issue these templates to students alongside a list of potential questions for both sections of Paper 2. This is an effective means of revision, and can be used by teachers to specifically direct students in their revision - something which is not always easy to do.
For those of you teaching American West, I have already produced such supplementary sheets which are also available on TES.
Lesson 6 in a Roman Army scheme of work. This lesson focuses upon the tactics of the Roman Army, and in particular how they made the Romans successful.
Lesson is fully differentiated with 9-1 exam questions (differentiated and including self/peer-assessment). Also includes starter, keywords and plenary.
A full list of events relating to Key Topic 1 of the Edexcel Paper 2 topic American West. Events are arranged chronologically by each of the three sub-topics, with additional columns available to record students' attempts at exam questions relating to each event - specifically the consequence and importance questions.
This can also be used in conjunction with my Paper 2 'Cheat sheets', as students can use this list to focus their revision on planning responses to the consequence and importance questions.
