This is a 10-15 minute assembly to celebrate and focus on the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia & Biphobia. It is suitable for Ages 11-18 (Years 7-13, KS3-KS5, Grades 6-12) and fits into the RSE & Health curriculum as well as the PSHE, Citizenship, RE, British Values, SMSC strands. It includes:

  • An introduction on what the day stands for
  • The history of the Day including the reason for May 17th & the law
  • Statistics about HTB in the UK
  • A short downloaded video that will never disappear about homophobia
  • A slide of support with charities and helplines for further information
  • A short downloaded video that will never disappear about growing up and coming out
  • Two discussion questions with posters to invoke discussion at the end of the assembly

It is fully narrated but you can easily change this by deleting the icon on each slide if you would prefer it not narrated.
