This is a 10-15 minute assembly on online abuse. It is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grades 6-12) and is great for an assembly or a tutor time PSHE or Personal Development session.

It covers:

  • Link to FIFAs online abuse campaign
  • Definition of online abuse
  • Actions that are considered abuse
  • A short downloaded video clip about the 9 protected characteristics which will never disappear
  • Reasons why online abuse is unacceptable
  • What students should do if they experience online abuse (change the logo to your local police force)
  • A short downloaded video clip with a case study about how online abuse made a young person feel
  • Points to remember
  • Finishing slide

It is a fully narrated assembly but this can easily be changed by deleting the icon on each slide.

This presentation was as a result of online abuse happening within the school community and it was a very effective presentation for the whole school.

It was delivered during Ramadan so online sexual abuse is not covered.
