Powerpoint and exercises explaining Coding, it's uses, and Scratch - what are they?!

Powerpoint and exercises explaining Coding, it's uses, and Scratch - what are they?!

This is a very simple 14 page / slide presentation to explain what coding and code is, along with a brief overview of Scratch. I find that often the children I teach have used Scratch before in class but don't always understand what code is for. For older children you could also talk about how code can be used in negative ways such as when ransomware or virus attacks are in the news ( example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WannaCry_ransomware_attack). I have also included some questions within the slides to check the children's understanding and an idea for a follow up exercise. I have attached the files in powerpoint 2016, older version of powerpoint compatible (97 -2003) and also saved the slides as a .pdf in case you don't have powerpoint.
