Fire Poetry

Fire Poetry

A flexible Literacy lesson that uses the topic of fire to generate ideas of a poem. This is an excellent lesson for the end of a poetry topic. Children are encouraged to use their senses as well as simile and onomatopoeia to create a poem all about fire. this would fit in very well with Bonfire Night, the Stone Age, Fire of London or Halloween.
