The second exercise is harder where the squares are not given to the children and there are missing measurements (for HA/MA). All measurements are given to LA. Area and Volume in a Rainbow Task

Area and Volume in a Rainbow Task

I made this task for a year 8 group as a one off lesson to incorporate different skills such as area of a circle, volume and unit conversion. We have area and volume as 'power standards' so we test the students on these topics all year, this was a task I designed for a one off lesson instead of giving them worksheets on volume. It can be modified and scaffolded to suit.
