This is a two-sided learning mat that can be used for consolidation and/or revision purposes. It covers business planning. It includes recap activities to demonstrate knowledge and understanding, keywords with room for definitions, plus a 'what you need to know' section. Each of these activities asks students to RAG rate their confidence. The learning mat is best printed A3 size but it also works A4 size (just less room to write!).

In this example the pack considers break even and the different types of costs that businesses face. It also examines the concept of contribution and break even charts before concluding with an overall assessment of break even as a decision making technique. The notes provide a detailed and colourful, well-presented summary of each topic area but for an additional 50p there are teacher packs available that come complete with the PowerPoint version of these notes and also include practice activities, questions and an essay all with suggested answers. The latest in the new series of PowerPoint resources aimed at assisting teachers with the delivery of the WJEC/Eduqas A-level Business specification but is suitable for all boards. These slides and hand out are designed to support the delivery of the Component One topic of markets. They explain what is meant by consumer protection and why consumers require protection. It outlines some examples of poor business practice and provides some video case studies about the need to protect consumers from exploitation. It also considers the role of the Government through legislation (e.g. Consumer Rights Acts 2015) and other regulatory bodies such as the Competition and Markets Authority and Trading Standards. It concludes with a quick assessment of the role of the ombudsman and looks at the ethics involved in protecting consumers. The slides contain the Quick Fire Five questions and also a practice essay (all with suggested solutions). In addition to the main PowerPoint a PDF copy of the notes has been provided to assist with pupil hand outs.
