I love making resources which are differentiated, challenging and also engaging. All main tasks will be differentiated at least 3 ways and actual lessons will have solutions with them. A Thoughts and Crosses on using and applying the nth term of an arithmetic sequence. Does not go into too much detail such as from a diagram ect but a nice end of topic assessment to see what have been learnt. It is differentiated 4 ways and also each specific row gets more difficult as you go along it so each question offers a different challenge. Pupils always engaged when using this activity and can be used in exercise books or as an assessment poster task

Pupils are given this worksheet which has 6 different calculations on. It is coloured so each coloured is a different stage of working out Blue - Question Yellow - Stage 1 Red - Stage 2 Green - Solution It models how the pupils should be setting out this question in order for future questions. Pupils have been engaged with this and has worked well with revision and on a poster for pupils. Colours can be removed for the more able students

A starter which includes 5 questions which seem to be badly answered at year 7. The same questions repeat 6 times so can be used for 6 consecutive lessons. The aim is that each lesson they get better at each question so by lesson 6 can tackle all 5 questions within 15 mins. Used these starters for years, pupils are engaged and like the benefits of them.
