Questions related to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl that test a range of skills. These can be used for guided reading sessions or to give children as activities to support guided reading sessions/ whole class reading comprehensions. The questions follow the order of the chapter but don't have answers attached as the answers can vary depending on the child's opinion. So far, the first twenty chapters are included.

A presentation that includes 195 past questions that can be used as a revision tool for Year 6 Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling or that can be used to pick and choose from for starter questions in English sessions. Questions are taken from the sample paper as well as the 2016, 2017 and 2018 paper. Easily usable as talking points with children practising a question at a time before then discussing the answer and why that is the case.

A set of resources available to use to help children's writing that will continue to be developed. They are made with Year 6 in mind but can easily be used for other year groups to aid their writing. Included so far are: A general writing help mat Examples of time adverbials Examples of imperative verbs Examples of pronouns A checklist for some of the different writing genres Year 6 Moderation grids for working towards, at and greater depth Prepositional phrases Punctuating speech A wordmat/ display poster for each of the openers for ISPACE with lots of different openers within each section and then examples of how they can be used in sentences. A range of sheets with helpful descriptions for children when writing stories including: describing different features of characters, settings and creating atmosphere through the weather and seasons. A lesson that focuses on active and passive. Included is the PowerPoint with some key recap elements before working on active and passive. This will include identifying the difference, identifying subject, object and verb and changing sentences into active or passive. Also included are green challenge bubbles for children who finish the tasks whilst others are working on them. There is then an activity for children to work through and an exit question taken from a KS2 GPS test.

A reading comprehension based on Mo Farah. Included is a fact file about Mo Farah and three differentiated question sheets with answers included. The fact file can also be used separately to work on Mo Farah or show examples of how people can write bibliographies about a sporting star. Reading questions work on both fact finding and inferring from the information available, enabling children to practise their reading skills as well as learning about Mo's background story.
