5 lesson unit based around the key question ‘What do different religions believe about God?’ following the Derby City agreed syllabus. Includes: Written plan for each lesson Detailed SMARTs for each lesson Resources/video links ready to use. Focusing on RE objectives: I can identify and describe beliefs about God that are held by Christians, Hindus and Muslims. I can retell and suggest the meanings of stories from sacred texts about people who encountered God. I can identify beliefs about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that are held by Muslims. I can identify beliefs about Gods by Hindus I can identify how it makes a difference in people’s lives to believe in God. I can express my own opinions about God.

One lesson based on the music video from David Guetta’s Titanium. Lesson focus on using the inference reading skill. Used for a 20/30 minute job interview and used across all of KS2 in shared/guided reading lessons and has been very successful. Includes: Lesson plan with objectives, timings to stop the video with questions to ask to lead them to answer the final question using their inference skills. PPT: Introducing what inference is, containing the video link and the main focus question to be answered. Can be used as a stand alone guided/shared reading lesson.

5 week Whole Class Reading/Shared Reading unit based on The Worst Witch book. 3 lessons per week. Contains: SMARTs for each weeks worth of lessons (3 per week). Also available as PPT files. Lesson by lesson activities based on reading skills - between one and two written activities per week, verbal activities for other lessons. Lessons are based on VIPERS and include the VIPERS cartoons to aid children in identifying the skills - they also explain the VIPERS to the children and explain what the skills are. Each written sheet is created on Publisher so can be printed as is (have attached some as word docs so these can be previewed before purchasing). All extracts from the book are on the SMARTs so therefore the book does not need to be to hand for children or even photocopied! If you are not after the whole unit, I have each week available to purchase separately in my store also. :)

Children are to correct this, either on the sheet or sentences can be copied into their books with the correct punctuation added in. The file has been created in Publisher and is completely editable, or can be used as is. This has been used primarily with Year 2 and Year 3, however has also been used for Year 4 post-covid to recap the key SPaG skills from Key Stage 1.
