LKS2 Art: Drawing - Hatching and Cross Hatching Unit of Work (5 Lessons)

A 5 lesson unit of work for LKS2 focused on developing drawing skills.

• Look at the work of Giorgio Morandi and how he applies hatching and cross hatching in drawings.
• Know that Louis de Soissons was the architect for WGC.
• Know that drawing can lead to jobs such as architecture, fashion designing, interior designer and illustration.
• Draw from first hand observation and secondary source images.
• Use hatching and cross hatching to show tone and textures in drawings.
• Use lines and blending to create different shades.
• Draw using pencils and charcoal.
