KS2 Christmas Quiz 2023 - 6 rounds

(0)
A Christmas quiz with 6 rounds and an optional Christmas Chaos element! I have used the chaos board for many quizzes and the children always love it! It also gets rid of the knowledge element of it a little bit as literally any team could win without getting a single question right Round 1 - General Knowledge. Festive general knowledge questions x10 Round 2 - Missing lyrics. A sentence from a song/Christmas carol with one word missing for them to fill in the blank x10 Round 3 - Festive Films. Screenshots from Christmas films with the faces covered for children to name the title of the Christmas film x 10 Round 4 - Picture round. 10 pictures that have been blurred/distorted. The children have 30 seconds to write down what the festive object is. When the bauble disappears, the 30 seconds are up Round 5 - Name that song. 5 song clips for children to name the song title and the artist for 2 points per song. Round 6 - Word Scramble. 3 minutes for the children to try and unscramble as many of the Christmas themed words as they can.* The candy cane timer starts as soon as the slide is presented.* At the end of each round, one team will be randomly selected to choose a number from the Christmas chaos board for a bonus. These include: Adding points Subtracting points Stealing away or giving points to another team Christmas themed challenges! e.g. first to draw a snowman and bring it to the teacher, first team to all sing jingle bells… Slide design and vectors from slidesgo.com

This unit aims for children to: Understand the qualities of different drawing media and evaluate their effectiveness for different tasks. Know how to use techniques to show light and shade. Subway Design Project

Subway Design Project

(0)
A week long project focusing on designing their own subway sandwich according to a brief. We did this each afternoon and is a great open ended task that introduces children to the enterprise concept. Side note: we also contacted our local subway store who agreed to donate subway rolls and ingredients so the children could make their subway sandwich design on the final day, which was a great way to end the project.
