Here are two powerpoint lessons which give information and properties to all the types of triangles and quadrilaterals which younger students need to know about. The first lesson looks at equilateral, isosceles, right angled and scalene triangles and lists other properties such lines of symmetry and rotational symmetry. The second lesson then looks at the quadrilaterals such as squares, rectangles, the parallelogram, trapezium and kite. This is concluded with a worksheet and answers.

The recent edit now includes examples where students must plot coordinates and then name the polygon drawn.
