This cross curricular differentiated recycling activity pack is full of fun, creative, and engaging activities designed to teach your students about the importance of recycling. They will learn about the length of time trash takes to decompose, re-use magazines to create some artistic flowers while looking at measurement and create a persuasive poster about the importance of recycling. **Contents: ** How long does the trash last?: A cut and stick activity where students match objects with the time it takes for them to decompose. **Funky flowers: **Students will make flowers of given heights and specifications using old newspapers, magazines, etc. Poster Template: A template for students to make a poster about the importance of recycling, explaining why and how. This coordinate activity pack contains two different sets of activities and is designed to help children master coordinates in a fun and engaging way. One of the activities contains 8 differentiated (4 quadrant and 1 quadrant) worksheets where the children need to crack the code by finding the hidden animal name in the coordinates gird. The second is an outdoor activity where the children must hide words that make up a secret message at the correct coordinates around your school. This activity was a real hit with my class and now they do it for fun! It is also great for improving map reading skills. The children must try to figure out which part of the water cycle is being described. It’s a great way to have students review their knowledge and not even realise that they’re learning! They’ll be engaged and excited with this addictive activity (as I am sure you will be too!). This pack contains two Cootie Catchers, each with a second copy included if you would like your students to write their own definitions for each key term themselves. There are visuals included to meet different learning styles. Science Murder Mysteries are great fun for both you and the students. For this mystery students will use their knowledge of materials and their properties as well as their states of matter knowledge to investigate who poisoned Andrew Smith. They’ll look at the 5 suspects poisons both using their eyes and under a microscope and compare the poisons to the one found at the crime scene. They’ll have to figure out how to separate the substances in the water (salt, sugar, etc.) to take a closer look and make their comparisons to figure out which suspect to put in jail!
