This resource is a non-fiction comprehension activity for year 2. This resource is a comprehension booklet aimed at Lower Key Stage 2 (7-9 yrs). It is a playscript adapted from Shakespeare’s play of** A Midsummer Night’s Dream**. The story is a romance and comedy and covers the themes of love, mistaken identities and magic. The story has been adapted so that is is suitable for ages 7-9. This is a 5 lesson Literacy unit all about explorer Christopher Columbus. The plan is aimed at year 2 and gives details of the year 2 curriculum objectives covered.
