Subject: Dance A Level Area: Writing essays One area that students struggle with in A Level dance is essay writing. In this pack you will find a few hand outs that have helped my students understand the structure of their essays. It includes a resource on: The “isms” meaning romanticism, classicism , modernism, post modernism. This will allow your students to connect context to content when writing about key works. Structuring your dance analysis: focus on the literary skills required for good essay writing Analysis reminder sheet (simple version) Peer marking assessment sheet: this is great for students as it allows them to mark each others essays by breaking them down into component parts.
