Objective:
● Explore the literary devices of satire, sarcasm and parody.
● Analyse scenes from the texts Summer Heights High, The inbetweeners (edited so no swearing) and Not another Teen Movie and how they utilise each device as well as use it to portray adolescents.
● Start to consider how these devices might assist in developing their monologue assessment.
This complete lesson was designed as part of an English Unit for year 10 English: Representations of adolescents.
Included is a basic lesson plan to show how long each activity should be conducted for. As well as PowerPoint with clips and a worksheet with questions.
