International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination - Facts, Figures and Videos

(0)
This presentation is good for International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and Harmony Day. This presentation uses the facts from the police records of racial discrimination in the UK. It also looks at the impact of the Brexit, both before and after the vote and how this reflected in racial discrimination. There are lots of chances for the students to discuss what is discrimination, multiculturism and the Brexit.

70 worksheets for English lessons with answers Intermediate Level The second ESL resource book

(1)
Welcome to the second English ESL book. Like the first one, it’s packed full of worksheets that can be photocopied freely for use in the classroom, as well as being an ideal tool for students to work through at home. We’ve included resources that test grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, spelling and speaking & listening skills. A huge variety of material that we hope will be fun to use and really helpful, whether you are at school or at home. A big thank you must go to all the students who have tried and tested these resources in the classroom prior to us producing the book! While the first book (https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/60-entry-level-grammar-worksheets-for-english-lessons-and-esl-with-answers-11156436) was aimed primarily at Entry Level students, this one is aimed at higher level students, either Intermediate Level or Level 1 (ESOL Core Curriculum), depending on how you choose to label them. There are also a few worksheets for practising more basic skills, such as the two Writing Skills worksheets. However, most of the material reflects the higher level, and will provide a wealth of stimulating lessons for students who are starting to become more independent in their learning. With this in mind we have included a brand new section - Test Your Research Skills. Here you will find quizzes on a range of topics that require students to go and do some research, using a library facility, encyclopaedia (whether in CD Rom or old fashioned book form!), or even the internet...

Commonwealth Day Flags and Information - Perfect For Buntings or Quick Geography Quizzes!

I have collected together all the flags of the Commonwealth, included descriptions of what each flag really means and added links for you to read more about each Commonwealth country. This document would be a fabulous starting point for any Commonwealth day celebrations. You could print out all the flags to make a nice flag bunting. You could also mix up the different flags and see how many of the countries the children can identify. I have included some blank world maps for children to add the names of the countries to a map.

33 Different Photos Of Bridges Sorted Into Their 6 Types

(1)
This is a wonderful collection of 33 different images of bridges, photographed at different times of the day. This resource would make an excellent introduction to anyone teaching about bridges. It also has a link at the end of the presentation to a great set of teaching and studying notes about the 5 main types of bridges. I would especially use this resource if I were going to present a bridge building challenge to my class, so they have an idea about the different ways they could build a long, solid bridge. If you like this resource, please leave a comment and a review. For more of my teaching resources, please visit my Educational Resources Blog (http://www.timetoteach.co.uk).

I sell these two together at a reduced rate - Buy these and save some money. ESL Worksheets Book 1: 60 Entry Level worksheets for English lessons with answers This book brings together some of the very best worksheets for teachers and students of English. These worksheets have been written by an experienced English language teacher and used in English classes with learners from a wide variety of countries. At the back of the book is a short collection of fun classroom games that have been similarly tried and tested. Some may be familiar while others are original. In publishing descriptions of these games we are not in any way claiming credit for inventing them or owning them - our aim has been to collect together games that work and get a great response from students. Book 2: The second ESL resource book (Intermediate Resources) While the first book was aimed primarily at Entry Level students, this one is aimed at higher level students, either Intermediate Level or Level 1 (ESOL Core Curriculum), depending on how you choose to label them. Ks1 SATs Revision 2016 Mathematics Paper 1: arithmetic and Paper 2: reasoning as PowerPoints

(1)
I love to work through SATs papers are part of my revision program. These two PowerPoints are designed for whole class interaction. All the students need are some whiteboards. Each question is immediately followed by its answer. This has lots of motivational and organisational benefits. The first is the students get immediate feedback on their ideas and misconceptions, without needing to wait until the end of a test. It also means different students can explain each of their solving strategies to the class and help everyone become more effective learners. As the answers are straight after the questions, it is possible to simply use these PowerPoints for 5 minutes a day and still get the full benefit as all the questions are immediately solved. This is also a nice way of tutoring students at home. The tutor can then focus on the areas the students to need to work harder in.

Talk a Lot - Spoken English Course - Public Domain Book A Great New Way to Learn Spoken English Elementary Handbook • General Information about Talk a Lot Courses • How to Use Talk a Lot Resources • Focus on Connected Speech • Focus on the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) • 100% Photocopiable This handbook shows you how to use Talk a Lot materials to learn or teach spoken English, as well as providing background information and practice worksheets on related topics, such as connected speech, sentence and word stress, and the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). The Talk a Lot course objectives are very simple: • Every student talking in English • Every student listening to and understanding English • Every student thinking in English, and • Every student taking part in class Talk a Lot is structured so that every student can practise and improve English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, fluency, word and sentence stress, and interpersonal skills, by working in pairs, groups and one to one with the teacher. The main benefits of Talk a Lot are: • Students have to think in English during lessons in a controlled and focused way • Students learn how to memorise correct English structures naturally, without abstract and unrelated grammar lessons • Students learn how to construct eight different common verb forms, using positive, negative and question forms, as well as embedded grammar appropriate to their level. The verb forms studied are: Present Simple, Present Continuous, Past Simple, Past Continuous, Present Perfect, Modal Verbs, Future Forms, and First Conditional • Students learn many essential vocabulary words by heart, including word stress and the sounds of English • Students learn how to become more fluent when speaking in English, by joining together words in a sentence using the techniques of connected speech • Students enjoy following a simple and effective method that produces results quickly. This handbook is not intended to be an exhaustive academic work. The aim was to write a brief, helpful guide and pack of resources that would provide a way into practise and language work in the classroom, rather than a dry, analytical manual. For example, I have deliberately avoided confusing jargon when writing about connected speech. Phrases like “bilabial plosive” and “palato-alveolar approximate” – though fun to say – can be studied later, or at the student’s leisure.

FREE The Stick Man Story Workbook - 16 Thinking Hat Worksheets For Fun Creative Reading In Class. The Stick Man is all about a piece of wood which gets taken away by a dog, picked up by a girl and thrown in the river... where he is found by a swan. At each point he is further and further from home and less likely to make it back... this set of worksheets looks at the different Thinking Hat approaches to this book. They will consider facts, feelings, positives, negatives, creative approaches and finally make a mind map. This book does not contain any of the original drawings or text. You still need to find a copy of the book to complete this workbook. I would love feedback on this work.

I have developed a set of Minecraft Geography resources children for teachers who want to include Minecraft in the classroom. Each one has 20 interesting facts, followed by open-ended project ideas. I wanted to develop resources where a teacher can teach with Minecraft in a classroom with a single computer and a projector. I need to mention that Minecraft was created by Mojang AB. http://www.DrFog.co.uk is not endorsed, associated or affiliated with Mojang AB in any way.
